What We Do &
Our Teaching Philosophy
Our Core Principles
Improve quality of life for both child and family.
Use collaborative and naturalistic ABA therapy.
Promote essential developmental skills.
Program Model
Aim High Ascent uses models of Naturalistic Intervention and Collaborative Intervention. The former model uses incidental teaching to promote specific skills in the context of child-initiated play and other developmentally appropriate activities. The latter focuses on enhancing the quality of care through clinical and parent collaboration.

Complete Therapy Process
1
Contact us
Contact us by filling out our inquiry form! We’ll take the information you give us, contact your insurance to determine how many hours of service you’ll be provided, and ensure that your child meets our criteria:
A diagnosis of Autism
Ability to attend a minimum of 1 daily session, Monday - Friday
Behavior, communication, or social skill needs that can be addressed by Aim High Ascent
2
Treatment Planning
The first step after filling out our Inquiry form is the intake assessment with a certified BCBA. The assessment includes an interview with you and an analysis of your child’s needs, strengths, and deficits. We also set treatment goals and determine discharge criteria.
Once we create a treatment plan with the knowledge we gain from the assessment and submit it to your insurance, we’re all good to go!
3
Day to Day Therapy
Your child’s therapist will meet them at our center where they will experience a 1:1 session with them where we will work on goals that improve your child’s access to their community, as determined by the assessment. Parents are welcome to take part in all therapy sessions.
After each session, your child’s therapist will write notes to you in Unitus. Additionally, a BCBA will set up regular meeting times to review your child’s progress.
4
Reduction of Hours
Upon meeting treatment plan goals, therapy may reduce to a collaborative consult model with a BCBA upon insurance approval. The BCBA and you would meet monthly to advise you on how to maintain the progress made in therapy. This can take the form of:
In home observations
In clinic meetings
Educator collaboration
5
Discharge Criteria
Our end goal is to provide effective treatment that allows our clients to transition into either a traditional schooling program or into a lesser treatment program that better suits their reduced needs. Those that have aged out of the Ascent program and are in need of continuing services with us will be offered a spot in the Impact program. Whatever the next step is, we'll be there to help along the way.
Discharge Criteria Met: Your child meets the discharge criteria determined by the treatment plan and can be mainstreamed.
Continued Consultation: You continue to meet with a BCBA to be advised on how to maintain the progress of your child.
Transition to Impact: Following the child’s 6th birthday, if services at Aim High Impact are fitting, the child will retain priority on the Impact waiting list.
